I woke up one morning, looked at my two boys, and asked myself a question I could not put down. What does it look like to not just leave a legacy, but to live one, every day?
I had spent twenty-plus years operating. Building companies, raising capital, sitting in rooms where the right answer was rarely the easy one. I had the experience. I had the network. What I did not have, yet, was a place to put all of it that felt worthy of the hours away from my family.
Beckett Industries is the answer to that question. A firm I could build alongside my sons, alongside partners I deeply respect, and alongside founders and operators doing work that actually matters. Not chasing the next shiny unicorn. Not optimizing for the quick exit. Building something that, if we do it right, far outlives any of us.
Our standard is simple, and it is the hardest standard I know. Do well by doing good. We want to perform. We want our investors to perform. And the better we do, the more good we get to do in the world. Capital, deployed with patience and conviction, is one of the most powerful forces a person can steward. We try to act like it.
That is what stewarding something with purpose means to me. It is what I want my boys to feel when they work at the firm one day. It is the only kind of work I am interested in doing for the rest of my career.
If that resonates, we should talk.
